The Fellow will prepare research publications and work towards publishing high-quality outputs in leading peer-reviewed journals and academic presses. They will present their research at academic conferences and University seminars, contributing to the visibility and scholarly profile of the African Studies Centre. In addition, the postholder will play a leading role in shaping and advancing the research thematic of “Africa and the World” at Oxford, helping to strengthen the Centre’s position as a hub for cutting-edge scholarship on Africa in global perspective.
The role also involves organising research seminars and contributing to the development of conferences and collaborative academic initiatives. The postholder will contribute to teaching within African Studies by offering an option course aligned with their expertise and will supervise master’s dissertations on the MSc in African Studies.
