The scholarship is aimed for people who have a cultural idea, such as art, music, research etc, related to the UNESCO World Heritage list and are interested to connect the World Heritage site Decorated Farmhouses of H\u00e4lsingland with one or more sites around the World in a cultural or artistic way.<\/p>\n<p>The international Residence Scholarship for the World Heritage site Decorated Farmhouses of H\u00e4lsingland was established in 2018 by the Regional Assembly in G\u00e4vleborg. The artist Paul Wiersbinski from Berlin became the 2024 scholarship holder for his project \u201cThe perfect House\u201d. The project connected the World Heritage sites Decorated Farmhouses of H\u00e4lsingland with the German World Heritage site Berlin Modernism Housing Estates in an artistic film interweaving urban Berlin with rural H\u00e4lsingland. The project was inspired by the idea of navigating through a perfect house and making an aesthetic connection to the historical memory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The World Heritage Scholarship is a residency that involves:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>staying and living in one or two World Heritage farms for a period of one month.<\/li>\n<li>a grant of equivalent 50,000 SEK to carry out the idea\/project in question.<\/li>\n<li>travel to and from Sweden and a car at your disposal during the stay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The scholarship is international and can be applied for by people from all over the world, such as researchers, artists or other cultural actors.<\/li>\n<li>Applicant should have an idea related to the UNESCO World Heritage list and can connect the World Heritage site Decorated Farmhouses of H\u00e4lsingland to another World Heritage site in an artistic, cultural or researching way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your application must be sent between December 16, 2024 and February 16, 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.regiongavleborg.se\/globalassets\/kultur\/halsingegardar\/residencescholarship\/application-residence-scholarship_engelska.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to apply<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whc.unesco.org\/en\/news\/2727\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UNESCO World Heritage Scholarship<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"12e8abe62ae64b91c0bfbd6c80849a4d\" data-index=\"3\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deadline: February 16, 2025 Applications are open for the\u00a0UNESCO World Heritage Scholarship 2025.
