Nyerere Memorial Scholarship Fund 2025\/2026. The Fund was established by the Bank of Tanzania in commemorating the great achievements of the Father of the Nation Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere. It is primarily dedicated for sponsoring undergraduate female students with outstanding academic achievement to pursue Science and Mathematics studies in Tanzanian accredited universities with the aim of promoting academic excellence of the students in the respective fields.<\/p>\n<p>The Fund also sponsors male and female Tanzanians to pursue undergraduate studies in the fields of Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Technology, Accounting and Finance. In addition, the Fund sponsors both male and female best Tanzanians undergraduate students to undertake master\u2019s degree programmes in the aforementioned fields of study.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholarship Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The scholarships are awarded as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Undergraduate Scholarships are granted to top performers in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (ACSEE) to pursue undergraduate degree programmes in two categories as follows:\n<ul>\n<li>Category A: Science and Mathematics Studies (Female Students only); and<\/li>\n<li>Category B: Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Economics, Accounting and Finance Studies (Male and Female Students).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The master\u2019s degree Scholarships are open to both female and male best students who are to enroll in master\u2019s degree programmes in the fields of Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Technology, Accounting and Finance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Undergraduates<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Category A: Science and Mathematics Studies (Female Students only)<\/p>\n<p>Applications for Scholarships under this category are for female candidates only and applicants shall be required to meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant must be a female Tanzanian citizen who has completed Advanced Level Secondary School Education (ACSEE) in 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must be a female student with outstanding academic achievement (Division One) at ACSEE in Science or Mathematics subjects in the 2025 Advanced Level Secondary School Education Examinations; and<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must have applied\/be admitted to a full-time bachelor\u2019s degree programme in an accredited university within the United Republic of Tanzania. The programme should commence in 2025\/2026 academic year in the field of Science or Mathematics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Category B: Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Economics, Accounting and Finance Studies (Male and Female Students)<\/p>\n<p>Applications for Scholarships under this category are open to both male and female students and shall be required to meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant must be a male or female Tanzanian citizen who has completed Advanced Level Secondary School Education in 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must be a student with outstanding academic achievement (Division One) at 2025 ACSEE in Science, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce and Accounting subjects in the Advanced Level Secondary School Examinations.<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must have applied\/be admitted to a full-time bachelor\u2019s degree programme in an accredited university within the United Republic of Tanzania. The programme should commence in 2025\/2026 academic year in any of the following fields: Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Technology, Accounting or Finance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Masters Degree<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant must be a Tanzanian citizen and must not be more than thirty-five years (35) of age.<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must have obtained First Class or Upper Second Class (honors) in the bachelor\u2019s degree with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) score of 4.0 from an accredited university within the United Republic of Tanzania.<\/li>\n<li>Applicant should have completed bachelor\u2019s degree in studies related to Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Technology, Accounting or Finance.<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must have applied\/be admitted to a full-time master\u2019s degree programme in an accredited university within the United Republic of Tanzania.
