This is a 10-year partnership between the Mastercard Foundation and the University of Rwanda aimed at supporting 1,200 academically talented but economically disadvantaged young Africans to pursue undergraduate and master\u2019s studies at University of Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>The scholarship is one of the approaches for achieving Young Africa Works Strategy which aims to enable 30 million young people across Africa to access dignified and fulfilling work by 2030, with a focus on young women, refugees and displaced persons, and people with disabilities. The applicants to this scholarship will have applied for admission into first year\u2019s UR academic programs for the academic year 2025\/2026 which are also eligible for the scholarship by Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at UR.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The scholarship covers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full tuition and registration fees<\/li>\n<li>On-campus accommodation<\/li>\n<li>Laptop and learning materials<\/li>\n<li>Monthly living stipend<\/li>\n<li>Return travel (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Academic, psychosocial, and career support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to citizens of African countries (including Rwandans);<\/li>\n<li>Refugees or displaced youth with recognized documentation;<\/li>\n<li>Applicants who meet University of Rwanda admission requirements;<\/li>\n<li>Those with strong academic performance, leadership potential, and a commitment to give back to their communities.<\/li>\n<li>Age limits:\n<ul>\n<li>Undergraduate: 28 years old or younger (up to 30 for special groups)<\/li>\n<li>Postgraduate: Up to 40 years (males) and 45 years (females)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply for admission at <a href=\"http:\/\/efiling.ur.ac.rw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Rwanda<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Once admitted, <a href=\"https:\/\/mcfsprecruitment.ur.ac.rw\/public-home?Welcome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">submit a scholarship application<\/a> on The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Rwanda portal<\/li>\n<li>Upload required documents: national exam results, ID or refugee card, personal statement, disability certificate (if applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information, visit <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ur.ac.rw\/spip.php?page=full-Undergraduate-Scholarships-under-Mastercard-Foundation-Scholars-Program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MCFSP at the University of Rwanda<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deadline: August 22, 2025 Applications are open for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Rwanda 2025\/2026.
