L\u2019Or\u00e9al USA partners with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to manage the program\u2019s application and peer-review process. Each year, the program attracts talented applicants from diverse STEM fields, representing some of the nation\u2019s leading academic institutions and laboratories.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2003, the L\u2019Or\u00e9al USA For Women in Science fellowship program has awarded over 100 postdoctoral women scientists almost $5 million in grants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The five 2026 awardees will receive $75,000 to advance their innovative research along with their outreach activities to support the next generation of women in STEM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a conferred PhD and have started in a postdoctoral research position by\u00a0January 31, 2026<\/li>\n<li>Must maintain the status of postdoctoral researcher throughout the fellowship year<\/li>\n<li>Must be American born, naturalized citizen or permanent resident<\/li>\n<li>Must be affiliated with a U.S. based academic or research institution<\/li>\n<li>Must plan to conduct their postdoctoral studies and research in the U.S.<\/li>\n<li>Must be involved in basic research in the life and physical\/material sciences, engineering &amp; technology, computer science and mathematics<\/li>\n<li>Cannot be in a faculty position<\/li>\n<li>Must commit to at least twenty hours of activity in support of women and girls in science (e.g. mentoring, classroom visits, media, events)<\/li>\n<li>Must be available the week of November 9, 2026\u00a0for the For Women in Science Awards Week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The deadline for applications is February 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aaas.secure-platform.com\/lorealfwis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to apply<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more information, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaas.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2025-11\/2026%20FAQ%20-%20L%E2%80%99Or%C3%A9al%20USA%20%20For%20Women%20in%20Science%20Program.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FAQ<\/a> and visit <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaas.org\/programs\/loreal-usa-women-science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">L\u2019Oreal For Women in Science Award<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"[vc_column_text css=\"\"] Deadline: February 13, 2026 Applications are open for the L\u2019Oreal USA for Women in Science Award 2026.
