Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), is offering up to 60 Women in Innovation Awards to women founders and co-founders of micro, small or medium sized enterprises (SMEs) across the UK. This is subject to a sufficient number of high-quality applications being received.<\/p>\n<p>The aims of this competition are to support Women in Innovation Award winners:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>whose innovation is aligned to one of the following three high growth sectors defined in the Government\u2019s\u00a0Industrial Strategy;\u00a0Advanced Manufacturing,\u00a0Digital and Technologies\u00a0and\u00a0Life Sciences<\/li>\n<li>who have a late-stage start-up with ambitions to grow a scalable business which will involve raising considerable investment in the next 12 to 24 months<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Successful projects will receive up to \u00a375,000 of grant funding and bespoke business support for 12 months.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To lead a project you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be a woman founder or co-founder within a UK registered\u00a0micro, small or medium sized enterprise\u00a0(SME) that is registered on Companies House<\/li>\n<li>be a resident in the UK<\/li>\n<li>engage in a minimum of 10 hours of training and development support<\/li>\n<li>commit to a minimum of four hours of role modelling activity to inspire future generations of women innovators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your project must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have a grant funding request of up to \u00a375,000<\/li>\n<li>last for 12 months<\/li>\n<li>start on 1 July 2026<\/li>\n<li>end on 30 June 2027<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You must read the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukri.org\/councils\/innovate-uk\/guidance-for-applicants\/general-guidance\/your-application\/#contents-list\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">guidance on applying for a competition on the Innovation Funding Service<\/a>\u00a0before you start.<\/p>\n<p>Before submitting, it is your responsibility to make sure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>that all the information provided in the application is correct<\/li>\n<li>your proposal meets the eligibility and scope criteria<\/li>\n<li>all sections of the application are marked as complete<\/li>\n<li>you have completed all assigned sections and accepted the terms and conditions (T&amp;Cs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application is split into four sections:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project details<\/li>\n<li>Application questions<\/li>\n<li>Finances<\/li>\n<li>Project Impact<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/apply-for-innovation-funding.service.gov.uk\/application\/create\/start-application\/2337\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to apply<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/apply-for-innovation-funding.service.gov.uk\/competition\/2337\/overview\/3750b1cd-2080-4a1c-82c0-003fbaafdd2d#summary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Women in Innovation Awards<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"[vc_column_text css=\"\"] Deadline: February 4, 2026 Applications for the Women in Innovation Awards 2025\/2026 are now open.
