The CLIFF-GRADS Programme is a joint initiative of the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases (GRA), the Global Methane Hub, and CGIAR Climate Action Program. CLIFF-GRADS builds capability in early-career scientists from developing countries to conduct applied research in agriculture greenhouse gas emissions quantification and mitigation.<\/p>\n<p>Successful applicants to the CLIFF-GRADS programme will go on short term (4-6 month) research stays at a host institution and will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gain experience in the measurement, modelling and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions, or carbon storage in agricultural systems relevant to developing countries;<\/li>\n<li>Build networks and experience other cultures; and<\/li>\n<li>Gain access to equipment and methodologies used by other institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grants of $14,000 USD will be awarded to PhD students from developing countries for research stays that will be started before the end of 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They invite PhD students who meet the following criteria to apply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From developing countries;<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking their PhD in a University in a developing country; and<\/li>\n<li>Who have not previously been awarded a CLIFF-GRADS grant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must complete the CLIFF-GRADS Round 7 online application form and submit the following necessary documentation merged into a single PDF file.
