Irving Entrepreneurship Centre Arena Pitch Competition 2026. This isn\u2019t just any competition\u2014it\u2019s a high-energy, adrenaline-pumping showdown where student entrepreneurs across Canada go head-to-head to showcase their brilliance for the title of the nation\u2019s top innovator. This year, 64 students from 37 post-secondaries have been selected to battle it out for glory, with each round bringing them one step closer to victory with a grand prize of $10,000!<\/p>\n<p>These 64\u00a0contenders\u00a0will\u00a0compete in a\u00a0dynamic\u00a0head-to\u2013head pitch competition\u00a0modelled after the NCAA\u00a0March Madness.\u00a0Students will\u00a0showcase\u00a0their innovative ideas to panels of expert judges\u00a0over\u00a0six\u00a0rounds starting with round one on March 3 and concluding on April 1.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prizes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The prize money will be invested towards the best student entrepreneur\u2019s idea or business with total cash prizes of\u00a0$17,000\u00a0provided by\u00a0Metronomics.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$10,000 for the winner<\/li>\n<li>$5,000 for the runner up<\/li>\n<li>$1,000 for the third and fourth place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within the past year) from a recognized post-secondary institution (Undergraduate, Graduate, or PhD);<\/li>\n<li>Must be the founder or co-founder of the business idea;<\/li>\n<li>Business has earned less than $10,000 in total revenue to date;<\/li>\n<li>Has received less than $10,000 in external support or investment (including grants, investors, and pitch competitions).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After being selected, students will be provided with the date and time of pitch, a pre-existing pitch rubric, and list of questions that will be randomly posed at presentation time.
