Are you an outstanding life sciences focused PhD candidate, post doc, MD, or inventor? Do you want to stay rooted in health and life sciences while exploring the dynamic and creative scientific impact you can have as an entrepreneur? The Amplitude Fellowship provides that opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, the Amplitude Fellowship brings a number of outstanding fellows together for the summer so that they can with leaders from their fund (Amplitude Ventures) and their biotech venture creation studio (Pre-Amp) to conduct a series of in-depth, one-month explorations to identify hypotheses for novel healthcare ventures.<\/p>\n<p>As a fellow, you will be immersed in the front end of the three-phase company creation model and get exposed to an alternate path to academia. You will leverage science to make intriguing observations and then strive to understand the concrete requirements needed to grow your observations into a broad platform that will, ultimately, have a positive impact on human health. Working closely with Amplitude\u2019s team of entrepreneurial scientists and leaders, you will explore concepts outside of your area of expertise and be challenged to bring new perspectives and to generate big ideas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fellowship runs from late May to the end of August, is full-time, and is paid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants should have deep scientific or business background aimed at life sciences<\/li>\n<li>Canadian work authorization required<\/li>\n<li>Academic excellence and self-starter mentality<\/li>\n<li>Creativity and the ability to solve complex scientific and business problems<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing or completed MD training, PhD, or Post-Doc with a research focus on the life sciences or healthcare<\/li>\n<li>Within 1 year of completing academic training \/ ready for employment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Amplitude Fellowship is a highly competitive program.
