The Johns Hopkins University Data Science and AI (DSAI) Institute welcomes applications for its\u00a0Postdoctoral\u00a0Fellowship program,\u00a0seeking\u00a0disciplinarily diverse\u00a0scholars to advance foundational methods of data science and artificial intelligence, and their applications across all areas, including science, health, medicine, the humanities, engineering, policy, governance, democracy, and ethics.<\/p>\n<p>The postdoctoral fellows will join\u00a0the Institute\u2019s\u00a0growing research community and collaborate with its broad array of faculty members.\u00a0Fellows\u00a0will\u00a0form\u00a0an interdisciplinary\u00a0cohort of outstanding scholars who\u00a0will\u00a0contribute to the research, education, policy, and outreach goals of the Institute.<\/p>\n<p>The fellows program supports the historic expansion of the Whiting School of Engineering, which will add 150 new tenure-track professors at all ranks, including 30 Bloomberg Distinguished Professorships and 80 positions in DSAI. This expansion includes a new building, 30 research engineers, and extensive computational resources that\u00a0will\u00a0establish\u00a0Johns Hopkins as one of the largest and leading engineering schools with a top Al research program.\u00a0At present,\u00a0DSAI\u00a0faculty represent multiple divisions and departments from across the university.<\/p>\n<p>Fellows will\u00a0collaborate with\u00a0Institute members across the university, including the Homewood campus,\u00a0the\u00a0East Baltimore Health and Medicine campus,\u00a0the JHU Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD,\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0Washington D.C. campus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary<\/li>\n<li>Academic travel stipend<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring by\u00a0DSAl-affiliated faculty and collaborators<\/li>\n<li>Access to\u00a0compute resources<\/li>\n<li>Participation in center-supported educational initiatives and projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fellows must hold a PhD in a related field.<\/li>\n<li>Positions are for 2 years with the possibility of an extension pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
