The\u00a0UP Fellowship\u00a0Program was designed to help\u00a0ethnically diverse\u00a0women with 7-12 years of alternative investment industry experience strategically accelerate their careers through a targeted\u00a06-month professional development program\u00a0(March \u2013 September). Recognizing the unique challenges of mid-career advancement, this program provides a tailored approach to breaking through professional barriers.<\/p>\n<p>NAIC is the largest industry association for diverse-owned alternative investment firms. Through education,\u00a0advocacy\u00a0and industry events, NAIC is focused on increasing the flow of capital to high-performing diverse investment managers often underutilized by institutional investors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Components<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0UP Fellowship\u00a0Program has three key significant components:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mentorship:\u00a0UP Fellows are paired with senior executive mentors from the alternative investment industry to create meaningful mentorship relationships. UP Fellows will meet with their mentors to discuss professional development for one hour a month during the 6-month program. This time can be spent asking questions, addressing challenges, exploring options for your career\u00a0path\u00a0and planning for your future. The meetings can take place on the phone, video conferences, or in person.<\/li>\n<li>Workshops:\u00a0UP Fellows will\u00a0participate\u00a0in a series of tactical professional development workshops designed to transform mid-career professionals into strategic leaders. These expert-led sessions focus on practical skills that drive immediate career impact, including but not limited to:\n<ul>\n<li>Strategic\u00a0Sourcing Techniques<\/li>\n<li>Relationship Capital,\u00a0Building and Leveraging Professional Networks<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation Strategies for High-Stakes Environments<\/li>\n<li>Personal Brand Positioning in Alternative Investments<\/li>\n<li>Communication Frameworks for Executive Presence<\/li>\n<li>Decision-Making Under Uncertainty<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder Management and Influence Strategies<\/li>\n<li>Adaptive Leadership in Dynamic Investment Landscapes<\/li>\n<li>AI and Emerging Technology Integration in Investment Strategy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Networking:\u00a0UP Fellows will have a cohort of women amongst themselves as well as access to past participants and members to grow last professional and personal relationships with.
