The Alexis Herman fellowship provides a comprehensive overview of lobbying, government relations, and public advocacy. The goal is to create a meaningful experience that deepens fellows\u2019 understanding of the government affairs field within Toyota and makes a lasting impact.<\/p>\n<p>To honor the remarkable contributions of Alexis Herman, Toyota Motor North America has established The Honorable Alexis M. Herman Fellowship. Summer interns will be officially recognized as \u201cAlexis Herman Fellows\u201d.\u00a0This Fellowship will offer (2) exceptional fellows with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in Toyota\u2019s Government Affairs and Sustainable Development Division. This eight-week summer fellowship program includes one fellow position located in Toyota\u2019s Washington, D.C. office as the designated Government Affairs fellow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Producing issue policy presentations and internal documents for Toyota GA employees.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and reporting on federal activities, including legislative hearings and regulatory rulemakings.<\/li>\n<li>Creating background materials, position statements, and facilitating attendance at events with Toyota GA representatives.<\/li>\n<li>Researching and circulating Advanced Briefings on Toyota\u2019s policy concentrations.<\/li>\n<li>Engaging in various projects and tasks as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The annual base salary range for this position is $52,700.00 \u2013 $85,700.00. Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
