The MGG Academy is an international training and dialogue programme designed for early- to mid-career professionals who are shaping the future of global cooperation and sustainability. It brings together experts and practitioners from governmental institutions, think tanks and research organisations, civil society, and the private sector across Brazil, China, the European Union, India, Indonesia, Mexico, and South Africa. The MGG Academy combines academic learning, leadership development, and action-oriented collaboration in an international and diverse learning environment.<\/p>\n<p>At the heart of the MGG Academy are three core elements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>learning from diverse and sometimes contrasting perspectives;<\/li>\n<li>developing the competences needed to navigate transformation<\/li>\n<li>and cooperation in complex global contexts;<\/li>\n<li>building a trustful, international network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The participation in the MGG Academy is free of cost and entails various support elements to ensure an adequate standard of living in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>In detail, the support includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Free participation in all components of the programme<\/li>\n<li>Lodging during all stages of the programme<\/li>\n<li>Monthly allowance to cover local living costs (in total, 2200 Euro for the MGG Academy 2026, paid in three instalments)<\/li>\n<li>Health, accident and personal liability insurances<\/li>\n<li>Monthly ticket for local public transport<\/li>\n<li>MGG Academy related travel costs in Germany and Europe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a national or permanent resident of one of the participating countries (Brazil, China, EU, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa)<\/li>\n<li>Work on key issues of global governance and\/or sustainable development<\/li>\n<li>Have a university degree (minimum Bachelor)<\/li>\n<li>Have 3 years to maximum 15 years of professional experience in a field relevant to global cooperation and\/or sustainable development<\/li>\n<li>Have a good command of the English language, with the ability to actively participate in group discussions, engage with the modules by reflecting and sharing perspectives on the topics covered<\/li>\n<li>Have the support of their employer (written support required as part of the application)<\/li>\n<li>Be ready to participate in an intensive, full-time programme (8 hours per day, 40 weekly working hours)<\/li>\n<li>Be sensitive to other cultures, open to teamwork, and adaptable to a broad variety of working methods<\/li>\n<li>Be willing to reflect on shared and individual experiences, attitudes and competences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Employers are requested to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grant their employees a special leave of absence for the training period and relieve them of job-related tasks for the duration of the MGG Academy<\/li>\n<li>Cover the costs of the round trip to and from Germany<\/li>\n<li>Come to an agreement ensuring the living standards of the employee\u2019s relatives in their home country<\/li>\n<li>Support their employees in transferring the newly acquired competencies to their job<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To prepare your application, carefully read the general information and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idos-research.de\/fileadmin\/user_upload\/pdfs\/Ausbildung\/MGG\/2026_MGG_Applications\/MGG_Academy_2026_Conditions_for_Participation.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">conditions for participation<\/a> and fill the application forms.
