The African School of Regulation is offering ten scholarships to qualified and motivated early or mid-career energy professionals who wish to take part in the Power Sector Regulation in Africa course.<\/p>\n<p>These scholarships are intended for individuals who are committed to contributing to the development of Africa\u2019s energy sector. Early and mid-career professionals from the following sectors are encouraged to apply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regulatory authorities<\/li>\n<li>Ministries and government agencies<\/li>\n<li>Power utilities<\/li>\n<li>Academia<\/li>\n<li>Investors<\/li>\n<li>Development organizations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To qualify for the ASR Scholarship, applicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a citizen of an African country.<\/li>\n<li>Have a background in the energy, regulatory, or related sectors. A master\u2019s degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of experience is required. A bachelor\u2019s degree may be considered with a minimum of 5 years of experience.<\/li>\n<li>Be currently working in the African energy sector.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate financial need and a commitment to apply the knowledge gained within their local context.<\/li>\n<li>Commit to the full online program, including weekly live classes, online discussions, weekly assignments and the final report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Selection Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee. Scholarships will be awarded based on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alignment between the applicant\u2019s motivation and the course objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to improving the energy sector in Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Financial need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Required documents include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A copy of your CV\/resume.<\/li>\n<li>A copy of your highest educational degree.<\/li>\n<li>Contact details of your current employer or a professional reference.<\/li>\n<li>A motivation statement that addresses:<\/li>\n<li>Your professional experience that relates to the course.<\/li>\n<li>Your reason for applying for the scholarship and your financial need.<\/li>\n<li>How you plan to use the knowledge gained from the course to support the energy sector in Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Complete the online application form and upload the required documents.
