Casa \u00c1frica launches the 12th edition of Purorrelato, its micro-story contest that aims to promote literary creation that encourages us to feel and think about Africa and to continue showing different realities that approach us to the continent, away from the stereotypes that have marked it for so long.<\/p>\n<p>The theme is free, although\u00a0the micro-stories should be related to Africa in some way. The story\u00a0could take place inside or outside the continent and its degree of relation with Africa could range from a detail to the total protagonism of the story.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First award: 750 euros<\/li>\n<li>Second award: 375 euros<\/li>\n<li>Third award: 225 euros<\/li>\n<li>In addition to the financial awards, Casa \u00c1frica may grant runners-up prizes or special mentions\u00a0to authors whose texts are ranked between fourth and sixth place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Any person over the age of 18 can participate, with a\u00a0maximum\u00a0of\u00a0three\u00a0micro-stories\u00a0per author.<\/li>\n<li>Only Casa \u00c1frica staff and winners of previous editions are excluded.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, the micro-stories must be original, unpublished and must\u00a0not have won a prize or be pending a decision in other contests or competitions. Participants must guarantee that there are no third-party rights over the micro-stories submitted and\u00a0will be responsible for any claims that may be made in this respect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The micro-stories could be submitted in\u00a0Spanish, English, French or Portuguese, with a maximum length of\u00a01500 characters (not words) including\u00a0spaces and excluding\u00a0the title. The\u00a0deadline for submission is 16th\u00a0April\u00a02026 at\u00a014.00 hours (GMT +0).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download, fill in, sign and\u00a0scan\u00a0your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.casafrica.es\/es\/mediateca\/documento\/purorrelato-2026-application-form\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">application form<\/a>.
