The Ocean Futures Fellowship empowers the next generation of ocean professionals, equipping them to address pressing ocean challenges while strengthening their own career pathways. Through training, educational projects, professional development and mentorship over a six-month full-time program, Fellows will gain advanced skills, hands-on experience, and draw on OceanX\u2019s international connections that not only build their career, but foster ocean literacy and leadership on a global scale.<\/p>\n<p>The Fellowship program contributes to the goals of the UN Ocean Decade and SDG 14 by cultivating the next generation of ocean leaders who will drive innovation, inspire global audiences, and expand ocean literacy to foster ocean protection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Focus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This cohort will prioritize fellowship applicants with demonstrated experience and\/or strong interest in one or more of the following areas as well as knowledge and interest in AI literacy and applying emerging technologies responsibly and effectively.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AI Fellow \u2013 Design and apply multimodal AI systems in collaboration with OceanX teams to accelerate ocean science insights and deliver impactful exploration and conservation stories.<\/li>\n<li>Digital Correspondent Fellow \u2013 Communicate ocean science and conservation through journalism, storytelling, and digital platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Digital Asset Archives Fellow \u2013 Support media, science, and production teams to organize, maintain and enhance access to OceanX\u2019s growing media archive.<\/li>\n<li>Immersive Media Fellow \u2013 Use technology, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, game design, and UX\/UI, to engage audiences with ocean exploration and education.<\/li>\n<li>Marketing and Communications Fellow \u2013 Assist in planning and executing strategic, cross\u2011channel campaigns while gaining experience in content creation, digital communications, and collaborative project work.<\/li>\n<li>Partnerships Fellow \u2013 Support the establishment and continuation of relationships with potential OceanX partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Stipend<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fellows will receive a monthly stipend to support their full-time participation in the program. This stipend\u00a0does not\u00a0include additional allowances for housing, relocation, transportation, dependents, or other personal expenses.
