The Centre for the Study of African Economies is delighted to offer funding to support researchers from Africa to take part in activities at the CSAE.<\/p>\n<p>The Centre for the Study of African Economies (CSAE) is an economic research centre at the University of Oxford. They have been researching economic and social development in Africa since 1986. These days, their large team of development economists research not only countries in Africa, but also in other areas of the world. They are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The CSAE Visiting Fellowship scheme supports a residency in Oxford from January to March, including flights, accommodation, and a small stipend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The scheme is open to African scholars currently pursuing a career in economics.<\/li>\n<li>Applications are welcomed from citizens of all African countries.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must have a doctorate in economics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To apply for the CSAE Visiting Fellowships Scheme you must complete the online form in full. This year they are using the Oxford Abstracts system to collect applications. First, you will need to create an Oxford Abstracts account, then you can sign in and complete the application form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1: Create an Oxford Abstracts account (if you don\u2019t already have one)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/app.oxfordabstracts.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Create an Oxford Abstracts account<\/a>\u00a0with your email address (please use your institution email address) and a password.<\/li>\n<li>You will receive an email from Oxford Abstracts asking you to verify your email address. Click the \u2018verify email\u2019 button in this email.<\/li>\n<li>When your account is created, you will see a generic message asking you to go to the conference website you are interested in. Enter the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/app.oxfordabstracts.com\/stages\/82017\/submitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CSAE Visiting Fellowships 2027 application form link<\/a> into your browser again and this will take you to the application\u00a0form for 2027 entry (and now you have an Oxford Abstracts account).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 2.\u00a0Complete the CSAE Visiting Fellowships 2027 application form<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you have created an Oxford Abstracts account you will be able to apply for the fellowship scheme. You must fill in all required fields (the form allows you to leave your application incomplete, be aware that you must ensure all fields are filled in yourself).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow this link to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/app.oxfordabstracts.com\/stages\/82017\/submitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CSAE Visiting Fellowships Scheme 2027 Application Form<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Complete all the fields in the application form. When you have filled in all the fields on a page of the form, click \u2018Next\u2019 in the bottom right of the page to move on to the next page.\u00a0<em>If you have not filled in a field that is required, a notification box will appear to let you know that you need to go back and fill this in.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Submit and complete your form. When you have completed all of the form information and uploaded your paper, you can then click \u2018Submit\u2019 in the bottom right-hand corner of page 2 of the form. You will then see all of your application information for you to review.<br \/>\nIf you need to make a change to the information, click \u2018Amend\u2019 in the top left-hand corner, this will take you back to the form to edit your information.
