The Fulbright Specialist Program is a program of the Department of State that provides a unique opportunity for institutions across the globe to host leading U.S. academic professionals. Specialists and host institutions work together to implement a project ranging from two to six weeks. Host institutions design project goals and activities that will exchange knowledge and promote long-lasting collaboration between individuals and institutions around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Host institutions may design projects in one of the following priority disciplines: Cyber Security and IT; Disaster Response; Entrepreneurship; Environmental Sustainability; Media Literacy\/Countering Disinformation; Public Administration; Public\/Global Health; STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and supporting the strengthening of democratic processes and the rule of law.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Costs<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In general, host institutions should be prepared to provide the Specialist with lodging, meals, and in-country transportation, either through monetary or in-kind contributions, throughout their full stay in country.\u00a0However, if your institution is unable to cover these costs, in certain countries, there may be limited funding available to support these expenses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to Cameroonian academic institutions.<\/li>\n<li>Institutions that may be eligible to request a Fulbright Specialist include, but are not limited to:\n<ul>\n<li>Institutions of Higher Education<\/li>\n<li>Government Institutions (ministries or agencies, courts, parliamentary or congressional bodies)<\/li>\n<li>Cultural Institutions (conservatories, museums, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Non-Governmental Organizations including non-partisan, issue-centered institutions and think tanks<\/li>\n<li>Medical Institutions (public health organizations, teaching hospitals, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The most competitive proposals will demonstrate clear, realistic goals and objectives; focus on one of the priority areas outlined above and demonstrate the importance of the project to the Cameroonian context at large.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested institutions are invited to submit a proposal through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fulbrightspecialist.worldlearning.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online application platform<\/a>, following the procedure described in the \u201cHost Institution Application Instructions\u201d no later than January 31, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cm.usembassy.gov\/2025-fulbright-specialist-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fulbright Specialist Program<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deadline: January 31, 2025 Applications are open for the\u00a0Fulbright Specialist Program 2025.
