First launched in 2011, the Orange Social Venture Prize in Africa and the Middle East (OSVP) identifies, rewards, and supports entrepreneurial projects that use technology to address social and environmental challenges.<\/p>\n<p>OSVP is more than a competition. It brings together young companies, institutions, and partners around a shared goal: supporting promising start-ups as they accelerate and grow their business. This year, they are especially encouraging projects that use AI, data, or cybersecurity to create positive impact for people and the planet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u20ac25,000 for the overall winner<\/li>\n<li>\u20ac15,000 for second place<\/li>\n<li>\u20ac10,000 for third place<\/li>\n<li>\u20ac20,000 for Women\u2019s Prize<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Beyond the financial awards, winners get support through the Orange Digital Centers, along with partnerships to help accelerate their growth, open up new market opportunities, and access funding and key expertise.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comprehensive support: Personalized mentoring, plus technical and entrepreneurial training in Orange Digital Centers<\/li>\n<li>Access to markets: Partnerships with Orange, and new business, financing, and networking opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>International visibility: Visibility across the region and beyond, especially for women innovating in tech.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to young entrepreneurs, founders, or co-founders of startups that have been operating for less than five years, in one of the 17 participating countries across Africa and the Middle East where Orange is present.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants need to present an innovative solution that addresses a real need in their community, using digital technologies.<\/li>\n<li>They also strongly encourage women founders and co-founders to apply.
