The ACU Commonwealth Climate Resilience Challenge Grants are awarded to member universities to support initiatives addressing climate resilience.<\/p>\n<p>Open to academic and professional staff, the grants support the cost of organising projects that promote either of the two main strategic priorities of the\u202fCommonwealth Climate Resilience Network\u202f (CCRN):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhancing the climate resilience of universities themselves.<\/li>\n<li>Enhancing universities\u2019 contribution to the resilience of communities, business and government.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The grants can be used for a\u202fdiverse range of projects, workshops and events in one of the following project focus areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improving learning, teaching, and training for climate change adaptation \u2013 e.g. virtual exchange or collaboration, teaching or professional practice collaboration and sharing and co-development of learning materials.<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the research capacity of CCRN members in climate change adaptation \u2013 e.g. virtual fellowships or collaboration, comparative analyses, research management and uptake capacity building, understanding and documenting indigenous knowledge and resilience practices.<\/li>\n<li>Improving institutional resilience policies and practice adopted by Commonwealth universities \u2013 e.g. developing tools, training and approaches to support contingency and continuity of operations planning at higher education institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Grant<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Three grants of up to GBP 3,500 each.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a staff member at an\u00a0ACU member university.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants are encouraged to collaborate with other\u202fACU member institutions\u202fto promote further Commonwealth partnerships.<\/li>\n<li>Applications led by ACU members, but are in partnership with institutions outside of our network will also be considered.<\/li>\n<li>Grant applications that allow matching or additional funds from the applicant\u2019s institution will be looked upon favourably.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit an application through the online application form.\n<ul>\n<li>If you already have a\u00a0MyACU\u00a0account, you can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/crm.acu.ac.uk\/ssp\/awards\/forms\/commonwealth-climate-resilience-network-ccrn-grants-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">access the grant application form here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>If you do not already have a\u00a0MyACU\u00a0account, ensure that you first\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/crm.acu.ac.uk\/content\/myacu-user-registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">register for an account here<\/a>\u00a0and then follow the instructions in the registration email to log in to the system before accessing the application form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information, visit\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acu.ac.uk\/funding-opportunities\/for-university-staff\/grants\/commonwealth-climate-resilience-network-grants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ACU Grants<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deadline: January 9, 2025 Applications are open for the\u00a0ACU Commonwealth Climate Resilience Challenge Grants\u00a02025.
