As a Lazord Fellow, you would be joining a multi-dimensional program that seeks to empower its fellows to develop a critical understanding of civic engagement, and to improve their leadership and technical skills for their future careers in all sectors. The program achieves its mission through offering mentoring, providing job opportunities in organizations striving to advance the common good, and creating enriched educational opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>The first Lazord Fellowship began in Egypt in 2010. It currently has chapters in Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia and Greece working with over 50 organizations. The fellowship is a yearlong regional program that includes a chance for the chapters and fellows in Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia and Greece to meet all together twice a year (whether in person, or virtually). After a competitive recruitment effort, fellows are selected in each of the 4 countries and placed for one year in a local organization. The fellowship offers trainings, mentorship, and networking opportunities for fellows, guiding them through their year and helping them realize their full potential as responsible leaders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fellows will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be hosted for one year in a local organization;<\/li>\n<li>receive a living stipend (based on local living costs);<\/li>\n<li>be offered a minimum of 18 training sessions by influential civil society leaders and professional trainers on an array of topics pertaining to civil society, management, leadership, team building, management skills, and much more;<\/li>\n<li>receive monthly mentoring sessions with professional mentors with civil society experience;<\/li>\n<li>participate in a research project in a team of 3 to 4 people;<\/li>\n<li>have networking opportunities with professionals and influential individuals from all sectors \u2013 both local and international;<\/li>\n<li>attend the annual opening and closing International Conferences with the regional cohort of fellows from all 4 countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to university graduates from any field;<\/li>\n<li>Having graduated in 2024 or after;<\/li>\n<li>Proven record of being civically engaged;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in English;<\/li>\n<li>Ready to commit to a one-year full-time fellowship starting September 2026;<\/li>\n<li>Be available to attend the annual International Conference in October 2026;<\/li>\n<li>Have local residency status and authorization to work in the country of the fellowship to which you are applying;<\/li>\n<li>Males applying from Egypt have to either be exempt from military service, already received the certificate of exemption, or be done with their service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Application deadline: June 4, 2026 at midnight CET.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSf768RGvAc43rB-fyxzJuYqyawWpd_3uqb4dslktJWIclSFXw\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to apply<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSf768RGvAc43rB-fyxzJuYqyawWpd_3uqb4dslktJWIclSFXw\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lazord Fellowship<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"[vc_column_text css=\"\"] Deadline: June 4, 2026 Applications are open for the Lazord Fellowship 2026-2027.
