The TWAS-COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) Fellowship Programme for postgraduate research offers fellowships to young scientists from developing countries other than Pakistan, who wish to obtain their PhD in natural or social sciences.<\/p>\n<p>CUI-TWAS Fellowships are offered in the following areas of the natural and related applied sciences:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer Science<\/li>\n<li>Computer Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Biomedical Materials (IRCBM)<\/li>\n<li>Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Biotechnology<\/li>\n<li>Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Pharmacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CUI will provide a monthly stipend which should be used to cover living costs such as food, accommodation and health insurance. The monthly stipend will not be convertible into foreign currency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants for these fellowships must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be nationals of a developing country (other than Pakistan);<\/li>\n<li>must not be on site in Pakistan;<\/li>\n<li>must not hold any visa for temporary or permanent residency in Pakistan or any developed country;<\/li>\n<li>hold an MSc degree (with research) in a field of natural sciences;<\/li>\n<li>IF applying in a field of eligible social sciences, hold a MSc degree in a field of social sciences;<\/li>\n<li>be a maximum age of 35 years by 31 December in the year of application;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The call for applications is open\u00a0until\u00a015 June 2026.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must submit an Acceptance Letter from CUI when applying, or by the deadline at the latest. Without preliminary acceptance the application will not be considered for selection.<\/li>\n<li>Reference letters must be on letter-headed paper and signed and submitted via the online portal only! \u00a0N.B.
