The Pierre Castel Fund \u2013 Acting with Africa, in collaboration with Castel Afrique, is organising the 9th edition of the Pierre Castel Prize, in seven African countries: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Madagascar and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.<\/p>\n<p>This pan-African program aims to promote innovation on the continent and support high-potential entrepreneurs committed to the sustainable transformation of food systems. The 2026 edition is part of a dynamic of entrepreneurial excellence and distinguishes innovative companies, capable of generating a concrete economic, social and environmental impact, while carrying out a growth ambition on the scale of their market.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>National Winners<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Each national winner receives the following benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u20ac25,000: Financial endowment<\/li>\n<li>One year mentorship program<\/li>\n<li>One year personalised coaching<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Pan-African Laureate<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In addition to his or her national endowment, the pan-African winner benefits from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u20ac10,000 Additional endowment bringing the total prize to \u20ac35,000<\/li>\n<li>Pan-African Ambassador: A one-year support as an Ambassador of the Pierre Castel Prize<\/li>\n<li>International events: Support for participation in key international events<\/li>\n<li>Media spotlight: Pan-African visibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Finalists: As soon as they are pre-selected, the finalists have access to structuring resources to strengthen their skills and integrate a collective entrepreneurial dynamic.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Entrepreneurial certification training: Access to e-learning courses offered by the Geneva International Trade Centre (ITC).<\/li>\n<li>African Builders Network: An integration, from the pre-selection, into a community of entrepreneurs committed to the development of the African continent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be between 18 and 45 years old;<\/li>\n<li>Be nationals and residents of one of the countries concerned by this edition: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Madagascar or Democratic Republic of Congo;<\/li>\n<li>Be the founders or co-founders of a legally incorporated company that has been in operation for at least two years;<\/li>\n<li>Carry out a development project with a measurable economic, social and environmental impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates will be required to demonstrate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong leadership and an ability to embody a role as an \u201cAmbassador of the Prize\u201d;<\/li>\n<li>An innovative project that responds to a concrete need of food systems;<\/li>\n<li>A strong territorial anchoring and a contribution to local economic development;<\/li>\n<li>A proven entrepreneurial capacity, reflected in the structuring and growth of the company;<\/li>\n<li>A measurable economic, social and environmental impact;<\/li>\n<li>A potential for development and scaling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Documents to be provided:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A CV;<\/li>\n<li>A copy of an identity document;<\/li>\n<li>An official document attesting to the legal existence of the company;<\/li>\n<li>A presentation of the company;<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<em>company\u2019s financial elements (balance sheet or operating account for the financial years 2024 and 2025)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>A presentation of the development project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/candidature-prix-pierre-castel.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to apply<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fonds-pierre-castel.org\/prix-pierre-castel\/prix-pierre-castel-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pierre Castel Prize<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"[vc_column_text css=\"\"] Deadline: May 30, 2026 Applications are open for the Pierre Castel Prize 2026.
