The role of women in agriculture, in the agribusiness and in the agricultural sciences is changing worldwide.\u00a0The Women in Ag Awards pay tribute to this commitment and tell the stories behind these inspiring women.<\/p>\n<p>For the fifth time, they are organizing this competition together with the \u201cWomen in Ag magazine\u201d, which gives women from all over the world the opportunity to tell their stories and present their impressive achievements. In recent years, women from more than 80 countries have applied, and they all have one thing in common: they are heard and build a strong network that supports and connects them. The DLG\u2019s\u00a0Female Agri Fellows Network\u00a0is also part of this growing ecosystem, offering women in agriculture lasting opportunities for exchange and visibility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Categories<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The \u201cWomen in Ag Award\u201d is presented in four categories to the top three winners in each.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Farming: For women who primarily work in agricultural production. At least 80% of income comes from crop farming, livestock, or intensive systems. Includes processing of own products.<\/li>\n<li>Agribusiness: For women who provide products, services, or solutions to farmers, but are not primary producers themselves. Examples: consultancy, input supply, machinery, technology or service providers.<\/li>\n<li>Education: For women who teach, train, or communicate agricultural knowledge, often in publicly or institutionally funded roles. Their focus is on making agriculture accessible and understandable.<\/li>\n<li>Technology and Research: For women who develop, test, or commercialise new technologies or research-based innovations. Includes AgTech start-ups, research institutions, digital tools, and advanced production technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to women from all over the world who work in agriculture, agribusiness, animal farming, research and development, teaching, journalism or as bloggers and influencers.<\/li>\n<li>Each candidate may only apply for one category. Multiple submissions are not permitted. In the event of contraventions, the participant shall be excluded from the competition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upload a portrait photo and at least two high-resolution images of your agricultural activities<\/li>\n<li>A video about yourself and your contribution to the agricultural sector (max. 2 min)<\/li>\n<li>Important: Both the application and video have to be in English.
