The Resilience Fellowship is back for its 5th instalment \u2013 this time, recruiting fellows from Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya! Designed by youth, for youth, they are offering spots to 12 pairs of East African changemakers (ages 18\u201328) for a powerful 9-month journey of growth, healing, leadership and resilience.<\/p>\n<p>This is a high-commitment, 9-month fellowship designed for passionate, grounded changemakers ready to dedicate time and energy to personal growth, peer leadership and community resilience. They are looking for individuals who are fully committed to the full arc of the programme, including in-person events, weekly facilitation, ongoing mentorship and deep community work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If selected, you\u2019ll get:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 days of deep restoration in nature at the Resilience Residential (with great food, meaningful conversations, and personal healing!)<\/li>\n<li>Certification as a Mental Health First Aider.<\/li>\n<li>New skills in facilitation, leadership, project management, and community care.<\/li>\n<li>Reduced climate anxiety, improved emotional wellbeing, and strengthened community bonds.<\/li>\n<li>8 months of expert intergenerational mentorship.<\/li>\n<li>Reduced climate anxiety, improved emotional wellbeing, and strengthened community bonds.<\/li>\n<li>Lifelong friendships and a powerful support network.<\/li>\n<li>A KES 40,000 stipend, plus covered travel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aged 18\u201328 years<\/li>\n<li>Based in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda or Tanzania<\/li>\n<li>Available from July 2026 \u2013 March 2027 to commit time for training, facilitation, mentorship and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Ready to apply with a partner. (You\u2019ll both be trained up to run\u00a0Resilience Circles\u00a0together in your local community. Therefore we\u2019re looking for applications from pre-formed pairs who already work well together.)<\/li>\n<li>Passionate about climate justice and building strong, emotionally resilient communities<\/li>\n<li>A great listener, a compassionate leader-in-the-making, and excited to support others<\/li>\n<li>Open to exploring climate anxiety, burnout, and emotional wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Commitment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll need to commit to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completing a 2-day Mental Health First Aid online training<\/li>\n<li>Attending the 5-day, in-person Resilience Residential in full (31 July \u2013 4 August 2026)<\/li>\n<li>Co-leading in-person Resilience Circles with 16\u201320 young people in your community (5\u20136 hours per week to prepare and facilitate weekly sessions over 8 weeks)<\/li>\n<li>Weekly preparation and reporting \u2013 submitting feedback and data after each session and touching base with the TRP team for about 30 minutes each week<\/li>\n<li>Monthly check-ins \u2013 joining community calls to share updates, troubleshoot, and grow<\/li>\n<li>Monthly mentorship \u2013 meeting with your assigned mentor for one hour per month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Download the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/uc?export=download&amp;id=1Wrb1YsZGKbNXYJfTyb_TPAIgmLx82xFr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>application booklet<\/strong><\/a> for detailed instructions on how to apply.
