The Glendon Chase McCormick Scholarship will be used to provide annual scholarships to Masters and\/or PhD students studying at Dalhousie University.<\/p>\n<p>The scholarship was established in honour of Dr. Glendon Chase McCormick, a Nova Scotia-born physicist who completed his undergraduate degree at Dalhousie University in 1935 and went on to earn a PhD in physics from McGill University. Dr. McCormick had a distinguished career at the National Research Council in Ottawa, where he specialised in electro-magnetic antennae and became a pioneer in weather detection using radar.
